EFFORT FOR FUNDS
LEAGUE OF JEWISH WOMEN MENTAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY A successful bridge afternoon was hold yesterday in the Rialto ballroom, Newmarket, by the Auckland branch of the League of Jewish Women, in aid of funds for the Mental Hospital Auxiliary. The president of both associations, Mrs. David Nathan, was present, and the convener for the afternoon was Mrs. G. Pezaro. Others who attended were Mrs. W. H. R. Teape, honorary secretary of the Mental Hospital Auxiliary, and Miss Y. Ziinan, honorary secretary of the League of Jewish Women.
As a result of the afternoon's play the sum of about £25 was raised. This included contributions from hostesses who had made up tables at their own homes.
