COLLAPSE OF BRIDGE
TRACTOR IN STREAM BED PROBLEM OF EXTRICATION [by telegraph—ow>* correspondent] WHAKATANE. Wednesday The 10-ton _ tractor svhich was travelling from Edgcumbe into the afforestation country near Taupo under its own power crashed through an old wooden bridge across the Pokaifoa Stream on the Te Teko-Murupara Road, about 26 miles from Te Teko. yesterday morning. The driver escaped un* hurt, and the tractor is believed to 08 undamaged.
