B RADIO STATIONS
Sir, —As one who strongly supported and voted for the Labour Government on its pre-election pledges, words fail mo to adequately express my contempt for the tactics employed by the Government over the B stations. I have been a British resident of this Dominion for 32 years, and during this time 1 cannot recall any action by any political party in power so despicable as that of the present Government over the B stations in view of their preelection promises. The only clean, British fair play demanded, was for the Government, ♦ in submitting their oifor to purchase, to have stated at the same timo what subsidy would be granted in the event of the station not accepting the price offered. With the non-fulfilment of the numerous other pre-election pledges—removal of sales tax, no increase of taxation, a more equitable distribu-tion-of the then existing taxation, adjustment of exchange and prevention of rising costs, the present Government will surely go down in history as the Government of broken promises. Disillusioned.
