MATCHES ON SATURDAY SENIOR TEAMS TO TRAVEL SYDNEY SIDE NOT COMING / Owing to Carlaw Park being engaged for the second Soccer test match no senior fixtures will he played 011 Saturday, and at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League arrangements were finalised for senior clubs to visit outside centres. The chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said strong club teams would visit the following places: —Ponsonby to Wellington, Mount Albert to New Plymouth, North Shore to Huntly, City to Tokaanu. Manukau to Taneatua, and Marist to Whangarei. Mr. W. J. Chaseling, secretary of the Newton Rugby Leigue Club, Sydney, wrote Stating that his club could not visit Auckland this season owing to the tour of the Kangaroos. The Newtown Club, however, woujd look forward to a visit to New Zealand next season. The registration of T. and R. Chase, ex"Wanganui Rugby Union representatives, with the Manukau Club was approved. NEGOTIATIONS FOR TOURS DOMINION AND AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, June 16 The Australian Rugby League Board of Control last evening gave permission to the Kew South Wales Rugby League to negotiate with Richmond Club, Auckland, \vhich desired a visit to Australia to play a series of matches at the end of the current season. It is regarded as unlikely that the r*e\v South Wales League will consent to the request, as it will not be able to fit the Kew Zealanders on the days desired. The Newtown Club was given- permission to negotiate for a tour in New Zealand at the end of the present season. The New South Wales Country Leasrue ■wis given permission to negotiate with Zealand for a tour next season.
