BANQUET AT KINGSLAND
MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS Thcro was a very large attendance at the Kingsland Methodist schoolroom on Monday at tho first "mother and daughter" evening, arranged by the members of the ladies' guild. Tho president, Mrs. Heape, welcomed the guests. Tho programme included a pianoforte duet by Mrs. and Miss M. Werren, a solo by Mrs. H. 1" ord, sketches arranged by Miss V. Brown and Miss G. Ryan, and a Hawaiian item arranged bv Miss Brenklcy. A parade of mothers and daughters, a musical competition, and games helped toward providing a very happy time. Mrs. S. O. English gave a talk stressing the advantages of comradeship between mothers and daughters. Supper served by the guild members concluded an enjoyable evening.
