OLD GIRLS' LEAGUE GAY SCENE PRESENTED ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS A large and linppy crowd danced beneath clusters of gay balloons at tlio Peter Pan Cabaret last night, when the Diocesan High School' Old Girls' League held its annual dance. Tubs of green and blue, hydrangeas Hanked the entrance to the ballroom, where red, white and blue streamers gave colour to the dance floor. The college shield held pride of place on the orchestral dais, and badges in the school colours of blue and white were placed at the entrances to the cubicles. The tables in the supper room were decorated with vases of yellow syringa, yellow and orange poppies and greenery. The guests were received by Miss E. I?. Edwards, principal of the Diocesan High School, and president of the Old Girls' Association. She was wearing a gown of midnight blue shot velvet. She was assisted by Miss Pilda Gorrie, executive president of the association, who was in striped silver silk finished with diamante. At the commencement of the evening. Miss Edwards and Miss Gorrie were presented by Miss Colleen Mitchell, on behalf of the association, with flower posies in autumn tonings. A Viennese waltz, led by Miss Mabel Johnson, and tap-dancing by Mr. Jock Hutchinson were features of the evening's programme, which also included several spot dances. The prizes for these were presented to the winners by Miss Edwards.
