GERMANY BEATS BELGIUM EUROPEAN ZONE SEMI-FINALS ;Received June 13, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 12 Germany eliminated Belgium to-day in a semi-final of the Davis Cup contest, in the European zone. The matches were played at Berlin. G. von Cramm and H. Henkel defeated A. Lacroix and Deborman, 6—l, 6 —3, o—4. In the singles yesterday Henkel had defeated Lacroix. O —l, 6—l, 6 —l, and von Cramm had defeated C. Nacyaert, 6—3, 6 —o, The first two singles yesterday of a European zone semi-final at Prague were won by Czechoslovakia from Yugoslavia. R. Menzel beat J. Palada, 6—2, 6 —l, 6—o. and L. Hecht beat F. Puncec, 7 —5 6—2, O—3. In the doubles match Menzel and Hecht were leading Pallada and Puncec, 2 —6, li—l, o—o.0 —o. 7—6. when rain intervened. KENT CHAMPIONSHIP MISS A. MARBLE DEFEATED (Received Juno 13, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 12 In the women's final of the Kent tennis championship, Mile. Jedrzejowska defeated Miss Alice Marble, 6 —l, o—ll. 6—l. The final of the West of England championship was won hy Senorita Lizana, who defeated Frau Sperling. 6—2, 9—7.
