FIXTURES ON SATURDAY I MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB SENIOR EVENT WON BY GRIGG The Manukau Amateur Cycling Club conducted senior and junior races 011 Saturday. Sixty-six members took part. BEACHHAVEN AMATEUR CLUB The Beachhaven Amateur Cycline Clnb conducted two "races. The senior event was over 25'/a miles, whilo the juniors raced over two laps of tho Birkdale circuit, a distance of eight miles. Results were as follows: Seniors.—J. Marris (scr), GOm 525, 1; D. Atkinson ( tin), 27m •_'!)*, 3. Fastest time was returned by T. Atkinson, 24m 245. NORTHERN AMATEUR CLUB The Northern Amateur Cycling Club held its junior unpaced championship over 15.6 miles. AUCKLAND CLUB The Auckland Cycling Club continued its road racing season at T'anmure. when senior and junior races were held over the Howick course. Results were as follows: Juniors.—J. RACES IN THE PROVINCE [FROM HERALD CORRESPONDENTS] Thames.—-A IG-miles cycle race resulted in a win for Wells, Shepherd being second and L Cowie third. Fastest time was made by R. Janneson. The riders had to use restricted gearing, not higher than 74. Whangarel.—The Whangarei Cycle Racing Club held a seven-miles road race to Ramo and back. The result was:—R. McJ\enzie, 4m, 1; R.
