"MAID OF THE MOUNTAINS"

There will be only one more performance in Auckland of Franz Lehar's well-known operetta "Tho Merry Widow," by Gladys Moncrieff and her supporting company. Another brilliant production is to'be staged at His Majesty's Theatre to-morrow, when "The Maid of the Mountain?" is to be presented. This romantic musical comedy abounds in amusing quips and sallies, colourful scenery, brilliant costumes and haunting melodies, and presents Miss Moncrieff in the part of Teresa, one of her greatest triumphs. This role introduces tho outstanding soprano number "Love Will Find a Way." The part of Baldassaro will be taken by Eric Bush, Cecil Kellawav will appear as General Halona, and others in tho cast will be Don Nicol, Arthur Clarke, Lois Green, Peter Dawson and Gerald Co.inollv. The full operatic orchestra and chorus will be under the direction of Mr. Fred Quintrell, "Tho Maid of the Mountains" will be presented to-morrow afternoon and evening and for five following nights. For the iiual four nights of the season, commencing on June 9, "A Southern Maid" will be presented.
