[by telegraph—own correspondent] TE AROHA, Monday Tho Piako County Council has decided not to increase its general rate to meet increases in costs. The rate will "remain at ljd and in the case of the Tahuiiavriding at ljjd. The hospital rate has been raised l-10th of a penny to 7-IGths to meet an increased levy by tho Waikato Hospital Board. It will not be possible to undertake the sealing of riding roads and only very necessary maintenance will be carried out on metal road*.
