NIAGARA TRANSFERS DOCTOR ILLNESS ON AMERICAN YACHT [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION'] 'WELLINGTON, Thursday The Union Steam Ship Company's head office has received a wireless message from Captain Martin, of the Niagara, which is on its way from Auckland to Vancouver and is due at Honolulu to-morrow, to the effect that the vessel had made a rendezvous last evening with the American steam yacht "V iking, and by the request of the master had placed Dr. Newall, a surgeon. of Melbourne, and Miss Jackson, a nurse, of Bristol. England, on board to assist with an intended abdominal operation to a member of the yacht's crew. The Niagara lost about two hours' steaming time, but will arrive at Honolulu on time..
