ST. PETER'S CHURCH
A CORONATION SOCIAL A successful Coronation social evening was held by the members of the St. Peter's, Takapuna, Social Club, in the parish hall on Friday. Appropriate decorations featuring red, white and blue streamers and Hags were carried out in the hall by the honorary secretary, Miss Marjorie Brett. The guests were received by the vicar, the Rev. R. Hill Johnson, and Mrs. Hill Johnson. Singing, dancing and amusing competitions made a very enjoyable evening's entertainment. Supper was served by the ladies of the parish. Among those present were: —Mrs. Robert White, Mrs. Wilcox, Mrs. It. O. Phillips, Mrs. J. Spear, Mrs. Graham Robinson, Mrs. Claude Knight, Mrs. Swainton. Mrs. Miller. Mrs. J. Nancarrow, Mrs. Lees, Miss Joy Miller, Misss Margaret Bavage, Miss Dolly Malcom, Miss Rona Dibley, Miss Joan Cantwell, Miss Kath Lees, Miss Jo Lees, Miss Joy Middleton, Miss Phyllis Dunn, Miss Jean Eastgate, Miss Pauline Knight, Miss Elizabeth Armstrong, Miss Mary Phillips, Miss Francis Gauntlett, Miss Nancy Millen, M iss Phyllis Patterson. Miss Edna Milligan, Miss Nancy Cummings, Miss Yvonne Guthrie, Miss Shirley Warbrick, Miss Clarice Millen, Mis? Barbara Allan, Miss Shirley Lochore. Miss Vivian Wright, Miss Dorothy Mills, Miss Nancy Mills, Miss Hilda Edwards and Miss Alice Leith.
