WINTER COMPETITIONS AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENTS The second series of winter competitions was held by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club on Saturday. Results were follows: — King's Cup Steeplechase, 3000yds.—F. Savidan (225), 30m 2 2-ss, 1: H. Hustler (655), 10m 13s, 2; S. L. Bradley (21s), 10m 17s, 3. Won by 20 yards, with 12 yards between second and third. F. Savidan secured fastest time. 75Yds.—First heat: Prendergast, 1; Harris, 2; Sayers, 3. Time, Ss. Second heat: Alien, 1; Smith, 2. Time, 8 l-ss. Third heat: Hetherington, 1; iteilly, 2; Hotan, 3. Time, Bs. Fourth heat: Buchanan. 1; G. Byrne, 2; R. L. Byrne, 3. Time, Ss. Final: S. W. Buchanan (15yds),. 1; G. Byrne (7yds), 2; A. J. Sayers (Iyd), 3. Time, Ss. Won by one yard, with inches between second and third.
