ADDRESS ON GERMANY An interesting talk about Germany was given by Mrs. T. von Lubbe to members of the Auckland Travel Club at the weekly meeting held in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall yesterday. Mrs. Lubbe told her audience that the Germans had the utmost faith in Herr "Hitler. Children were well cared for; as they and their mothers Herr Hitler considered his first charge. Nothing in Germany was ever wasted. Even cigarette tins were used again. Tourists were very welcome and to encourage them to visit Germany, transport fares were greatly reduced, a reduction of 60 per cent being made on the railways alone. Following *tho address, a delightful programme of poi songs -was given by the members of Princess Te Puea's Maori Concert Party. Floral' sprays were presented by the honorary director, Mrs. Victor Mackv, to the following:—Princess Te Puea, Mrs. von Lubbe, Mrs. C. M. Rout (a committee member who is shortly leaving for France), Mrs. Neil Walker, of Sydney (an ex-committee member), and Mrs. Hide Tanaka, of Japan. Among the overseas and out-of-town guests were:—Tumakai Katipa (Princess Te Puea's husband), Mrs. Kersteu (Germany), Mrs. I. Hamilton Beattfe (Suva), Mrs. Nollith and Mrs. Donnelly (Melbourne), Mrs. Guy Hillier and Mrs. C D. Dixon (China), Miss Franchi Lisma and Miss A. Hannan (Sydney), Mrs. E. 0. Reeves (Vancouver), Mr. and Mrs. Leslie, Mrs. Ward, Mrs. and Miss Rudkin (Australia), Mr. James Payne (Wellington), Mrs. G. W O'Connell (Papakura), Mrs. Allsop (New Plymouth), Mrs. M. Darling (Waiwera), Miss Wyn Norman (Wanganui). -
