SHOOTING SEASON
GOOD SPORT AT CAMBRIDGE MANY LIMIT BAGS SECURED [from OCR OWN correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Thursday An outstanding shooting season is indicated by the reports of sportsmen in the Cambridge district. Many limit bags of duck have been secured and good numbers of pheasants were shot on the opening day. However, the weather has not been favourable for pheasants since then and they are scattered and difficult to find. A record number of licences has been issued and increased sales of ammunition are reported. The improved sport is largely a result of the activities of the Auckland Acclimatisation Societv.
