TIMBER MILLING
AUSTRALIAN COMPANY OPERATIONS AT TAURANGA The first timber milling organisation in New Zealand to be financed with Australian capital is to begin operations on native timber in the Tauranga district on May 14, according to the chairman of directors of the company, Brigadier-General H. W. Lloyd, of Sydney, who arrived here by the Monterey yesterday. The company, which has been registered us lixisting forests Timber Milling Company, Limited, has a capital of approximately £IOO,OOO, and was formed originally as a bond issue organisation in Australia. Brigadier-General Lloyd said thn.t the mill would give employment to 100 men.
