OBITUARY

BELA VON KEHRLING HUNGARIAN TENNIS PLAYER BUDAPEST, April 26 The death has occurred from a heart attack of Bela von Kehrling. Hungarian Davis Cup player.

Von Kehrling in 1933 was placed as a perpetual champion of Hungary above her other ranked players. He had won the singles championship of Germany, the All-England Plate at Wimbledon, the Monte Carlo Cup and many other important events. He represented Hungarv in the Davis Cup from 1924 to 1934. In 1929 he beat both H. W. Austin and J. C. Gregory, in spite of which Britain won the fourth round at Budapest. Kehrling, who was a shrewd tactician, also defeated Austin again in 1933, at the Beaulieu tournament on the Continent, but Gottfried von Cramm beat the Hungarian in the final.
