BIG REDUCTION .IN BRITAIN THE LATEST STATISTICS (Received April 27, (>."> p.m.) British Wireless RUG BY, April 20 The quarterly returns prepared by the Chamber of Shipping show that in the ports of Britain and Ireland on April 1 only 77 British and foreign vessels, totalling 90,345 tons, were laid up. This figure is 57.5 per cent less than on January 1, and 80.9 per cent less than a year ago.
