SYDNEY YACHT RETURNING REPORT FROM RAROTONGA [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Tuesday On a world cruise since July, 1935, the auxiliary yacht Sirius, of 30J tons gross, arrived at Barotonga on April 3, says the Press Association correspondent at Rarotonga. The yacht is owned by Mr. H. Nossiter, of Sydney, who is accompanied by his two sons. The party left for Nukualofa on April 6. They expect to reach Sydney again in about seven weeks. Mr. Nossiter, who is a well-known Australian yachtsman, had the Sirius built at Sydney specially for the cruise. Australian and New Zealand timber was used in its construction. The crew originally numbered three, in addition to Mr, Nossiter, but the other member left the party at Colombo on the voyage to England, which was made by way of the Dutch East Indies, Ceylon, Suez Canal and tho Mediterranean. AMERICAN SCHOONER YACHT YANKEE S VISIT TO SAMOA [from our own correspondent] APIA, April 17 Ihe American auxiliary schooner yacht Yankee arrived at Apia on Tuesday from Tutuila. The craft is owned and sailed by Captain Johnston, of San Francisco, who is accompanied by his wife and two young daughters. The crew consists of 14 young men who have each paid £l5O for the cruise in the Pacific, but in addition they have to do all the work of the ship. The Yankee has already visited several groups of islands. It left here on Thursday for the Gilbert and Ellice groups, from whence it will proceed to New Guinea and the Solomons.
