Mrs. Huntly Eliott, of Christehurch. is the guest of Mrs. F. T. Murison, Mount Hobson Road, Rcmuera. Mrs J. W. Carr, of St. Heliers Bay, will leave; by the Mataroa from Wellington 011 April 26 to visit England. Mrs. A. W. A. Perkins. Garden Road. Rcmuera, will leave this morning bv motor-car for Wanganui and Wellington. Miss Alison Kell, Sylvern Avenue, Milford, who has been spending a holiday at Sydney, will return by the Wanganella to-day. Mrs. Graham Speirs and Aliss John-ston-Stewart (Cambridge), Mrs. F. W. Lord (Nelson) and Miss C. Ellis (Whangarci) are at the Station Hotel. Lady East, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Alan Donald, of Arnev Road, Rcmuera, will leave by the Rualiino from Wellington 011 Monday for England. Mrs. 10. Howard, St. George's Bay Road, Parncll, returned to Auckland this week from Dargaville, where she had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ro.v Humo. Mrs. Alex. Harvey, Wood ley Avenue, Rcmuera. and Mrs. J. G. Hirst, Loehiel Road, Rcmuera, have returned to Auckland after a motor tour of the North and South Islands. A flag five hundred competition was held- in the Tauhei Hall in aid. of funds for the Women's Division. The winners were Messrs. N. Brown, D. Hewson and H. Raynel. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. J. Findlay and Mrs. Curphy. The first of a series of informal monthly socials arranged by the social committee of Messrs. Turnbull and Jones, Limited, was held last night in the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society's hall in Grafton Road. Dancing and impromptu items provided enjoyable entertainment. The committee comprised:—Miss B. Seager. Messrs. C. J. Lenihan, J. D. Morrison, C. Harvey and H. E. Lewis.
