TABLE TENNIS
OPENING OF Y.M.C.A. CLUB The Y.M.C.A; Table Tennis Club opened Its season last, evening, when Mr. P. Brookbunks, the patron, declared the club open and served tho first ball. Congratulations on tbo enterprise of the Y.M.C.A. were extended by Mr. H. W. Tyler, vice-president of the Auckland Table Tennis Association, on behalf of that body. An interesting match was staffed between K. Cant,lay, New Zealand champion, and J. .Munns, Auckland champion, resulting in a win for the local player, 21—15, -1— IS. It was announced by the president, Mr. G. Adair, that the club had a membership of over 00, and would be open during lunch and tea hours, and matches would Lie staged cacli Tuesday evening.
