AUTUMN BLOOMS

CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW MOUNT ALBERT SOCIETY Blooms of an excellent standard were exhibited at the Mount Albert Horticultural Society's autumn chrysanthemum show, which was opened yesterday at the King George Memorial Hall, Mount Albert. Considering the adverse conditions with which growers have had to contend, the display, the third of the season, was remarkably good. The points prize, the K. W. White Challenge Cup, in the open section, was won by Mr. R. Sinclair. Tho Featherstone Challenge Cup, for most points in the intermediate section, was won by Mr. C. N. Carston, while Mrs. A. Page won the society's challenge cup and certificate in the novice division. Mrs. V. Nutsford won Mrs. MorleyBell's cup for most points in the cut flower decorative section. The champion of champions award went to Mr. R. Twentyman, whose fine yellow- chrysanthemum, "Edith McFarlane," also took the Premier Yellow certificate. The Premier White award was won by Mr. C. N. Carston with a "Louisa Pocket," and the Premier Red or Bronze certificate went to Mr. R. Sinclair's bloom, "Russell Clark." An exhibition of shrub novelties by Captain E. J.
