ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT
FEW PEOPLE IN PROCESSION A torchlight procession of men, women and children, I] 9 all told, marched from Quay Street to the Domain 011 Monday night as a demonstration against war and Fascism. Public interest was lukewarm, and so few were readv at 7.15, the appointed time to begin, that the march was delayed nearly half an hour. Four speakers dealt"with the dangers in the Fascist movement. There were several young children and elderly women in the procession, some of whom appeared to find difliculty in keeping pace as the small column filed up Queen Street, along Karangahape Road and across Grafton Bridge to the Domain. One or two bystanders joined the marchers, and a few standing at the gates of the Domain walked down to the grandstand to hear the speeches, which lasted until 9.30 p.m.
