THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE ACTIVITY IN INDUSTRIALS Industrial issues dominated business in the investment market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when trading was more active. A feature was a fairly sharp decline in Broken Ilill Proprietary shares, which closed with a sale at'7os 6d, a drop of 2s 3d. This is the lowest price recorded for this issue this year. Electrolytic Zincs also weakened and both issues wore marked down in dealing. Buyers withdrew at the close. There was also no buying support for G. J. Coles after transfers at £5 6s 3d and I's 6s, a fall of 9d. Consolidated Bricks changed hands 9d lower at 8s 3d, the lowest level this year. Business passed higher in Dunlop-Perdriaus. Among the New Zealand industrials Claude Neon (N.Z.) made a strong forward movement, gaining 3s to 31s. In the first transaction since the new capital was issued, Farmers' Trading dropped back Is to 225, although the B preference issro finned. New Zealand Newspapers moved forward slightly. Tnranaki Oils weakened. ' Government loans were dull, while hanks were quietly strong. Among insurances Nationals were easier, while New Zcalands maintained late rates.

That had been secured without any material increase in operating costs, resulting in an improved net profit. flie retiring directors, Messrs. Hogerson and J. 11. Self, were reelected.
