SOAPWORKERS' DISPUTE
NO AGREEMENT REACHED No agreement on wages and holidays had been reached at the conclusion of the day's proceedings of the Conciliation Council yesterday, when representatives of employers and employees engaged in the soap and caudle industry met. The employers' assessors were Messrs. A. Craig, J. R. Warnoek and H. J. Bishop, while the assessors for the workers were Messrs. W. E. Sill, E. A. Winter and N. Harlick. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. I{. E, Price, presided. Agreement was reached on only a number of machinery clauses, and the hearing was adjourned to a later date.
