PUKEKOH E LEVY REDUCED BOARD CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED [I'BOJI OUR OWN COIUtK.SPOXDKNT] PUKEKOUE, Tuesday On adopting estimates for the eurrent financial year, the Pukekohe Fire Board, at its annual meeting, decided to reduce its levy 011 the insurance companies to £370, while the levy on the Pukekohe Borough Council will also he £.'170. This is a reduction of I*2o in each case. .Mr. J. Routly was re-elected chairman. The superintendent, Mr. X. L. Broun, reported that during the past 12 months the brigade had received .11 calls to fires within the district. All were of a minor nature. The estimated damage to insured property was £2O, and the estimated damage to uninsured property was £ls.
