STRIKE NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT WITH ONE FIRM (Received April 11, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 11 Negotiations for the settlement of the strike of employees in metal foundries at Sydney are proceeding and an agreement already has been reached with one firm. Three hundred men will return to work on a night shift tomorrow. The news of a threatened stoppage of work in foundries at Sydney was first made known on March 10 and on the following day the owners of 40 metropolitan foundries served notice on more than 2000 employees that their services would not be required until further notice. The employees were demanding an increase m wages of 12s a week and, in addition, the elimination of overtime.
