AUCKLAND CENTRE MEETING DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD As no Auckland swimmers had asked to undergo time trials, which were recommended by the New Zealand Swimming Council . to aid it in forming a ranking list, the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association agreed last night that details of the best times recorded by the leading local, performers should be submitted to the council. Regret was expressed at the resignation of Mr. L. j. Kenny, a delegate of the Waitemata Club. It was decided to recommend to the next annual meeting that he should be elected a life-member. Mr. J. Richardson was appointed to replace him on the management committee The nominations of Messrs. J. R. Miller and J. Enwright were received from clubs for tho position of manager of the team repreWnting New Zealand at the British Empire Games in Sydney next February. A ballot was taken, and an equal number of votes was recorded for each nominee. Tho chairman» Mr T. C. Hobbs-Jones. declined to exerclw his casting vote, so that it was decided to forward both nominations to tho New Zealand Council.
