ARRIVALS IN AUSTRALIA RETURNED SOLDIERS ALARMED CANBERRA, April 3 The Commonwealth statistician's report shows that Italians are arriving in Australia at the rate of about 1400 a year. A large percentage cannot read or write Engish.
Ex-soldier settlers on the Murrumbidgee irrigation areas in New South Wales recently expressed concern at the increase in the numbers of Italian farmers there. In view of this, the actual facts of Italian immigration are especially interesting.
