VESSEL LEAVING WHARF One of the crew of the Matson linfi' Mariposa fell overboard as the ship iv ' as sailing from Auckland for Los Augees on Saturday evening. Standing near on® of the entrance ports, the man e shortly after the ship had swung awaJ from the side of Prince's Wharf. A rop# ladder was immediately lowered <an . the man grasped it, but appeared - ablo to haul himself clear of tho er " He remained alongside as the llicr> towed by the tug, moved slowly as^ Another one of the crew climbed the ladder with a rope and P asse bowline over the man, and he was e taken on board.
