DEDICATION OF GIFTS A number of gifts were dedicated by Archbishop Averill yesterday morning in the chapel of St. Michael and* All Angels at the Church Army headquarters. Two candlesticks, two silver vases, two sets of altar hangings, a prayer desk, as well as payment to an artist for work on the altar, were given by Mr. G. W. Hogg, a visitor from Kngland. Two other silver, vases were given bv an Auckland lady. Before the dedication the archbishop said that not only had Mr. Hogg helped to beautify the chapel, but also he had given .C'9o to meet the cost of training a New Zealand cadet for work in the Dominion. Archbishop Averill thanked the donor and afterward took a celebration of Holy Communion.
