THE MARCUS SHOW
OPENING ON WEDNESDAY A spectacular revue, "La Vie Parce," is to be presented by the Marcus Show when it commences its Auckland season at His Majesty's Theatre on Wednesday evening. This production includes no fewer than 32 lavish scenes. Of these, the more striking include "Maid of Silver," "Birdland" and "Under the Andalusian Moon." The last-mentioned introduces the talented Spanish singer Senorita Sofia Alvarez and also the dancing Burbays, who perform a dazzling number, entitled "Danzer de Passion." The Marcus Show is the first American revue company to be brought to New Zealand in its entirety, and includes 22 principals, a chorus of 25 and a ballet of 30 beautiful American girls, some of whom have appeared in Samuel Goldwyn motion pictures.
