Notice is hereby given that the following Resolution was passed by the Manurewa Town Board at a Special Meeting held on the Bth day of March, 1037. and that the same will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of tho said Board, to be held on MONDAY, the sth day of April, I!KS7, at the Board's Office, Station Road. Manurewa. at 7.30 p.m. RESOLUTION. IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred on it by Section 24 of " The Health Act. 1920," "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1»2(J ' and £fll other powers it thereunto enabling, the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order:— 1. To borrow the sum of £20,000 (Twenty Thousand Pounds) for the purpose of providing waterworks and a water supply for the Manurewa Town District, as required by the Board of Health. 2. That the said loan shall bear interest at the rate of three pounds Jen shillings Fer centum per annum upon tho balance rom time to time owing and the principal and interest shall be paid by halfyearly instalments, based upon a term of thirty-five (35) years, but so that interest only shall be paid for the first year. 8. That the said loan shall be arranged in the first instance for a term of twenty (20) years, and tho balance of principal remaining owing at the end of the said twenty (20) years shall be arranged with similar, repayments for the balance of the said term of thirty-five years. 4. That .for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund and other charges on the said loan of £20,000 (Twenty Thousand Pounds) the said Manurewa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateablo capital valuo of all rateable property in tho Town District of Manurewa, and that such special rate shall bo an annual recurring rato for the said period of thirty-five years. B. That the said water shall be sold to the users by meter at such price as tho Board shall from time to time fix and the net proceeds from snch Rales shall be applied toward payment of the said half-yearly instalments and only so much of the said special rate as shall be computed to be necessary in any year to make BP the difference between the said net proceeds of the sales of water and the said half-yearly instalments shall bo collected.
