TOUR OF ATHLETES
AUSTRALIANS DISAPPOINTED The two famous Japanese athletes, Murakoso and Togaini, will not be seen in competition in Sydney when they return from New Zealand in April, says an Australian writer. The New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association could not arrange satislory financial arrangements with the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. It is very disappointing that Sydney will not see those races so keenly anticipated between the Japanese runner, Murakoso, and Roddan, Sheaves, Gotf and Lucas, the pick of Sydney's mile runners. The Amateur Athletic Association of New South Wales is not revealing details of financial arrangements. But it seems strange that New Zealand would not come to some understanding that would help New South Wales, and also bring additional revenue to New Zealand. New South Wales was agreeable to giving New Zealand a percentage of the takings. A construction placed on this is that the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has revealed unfriendliness to Australia in the matter.
