LAND TAX RETURNS
The annual duty of making a return of land must ho fulfilled by all owners of property in excess of an unimproved value of £SOO, before April 9. The date of computation is fixed at March 3], 1937. The Act provides for an exemption of taxation in respect of registered mortgages or balances of purchase money in certain circumstances, but to obtain this it is essential that the return should be completed to show the particulars of mortgages. The forms are obtainable at all post offices.
