CHARGE OF ASSAULT
MAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION REMAND ON BAIL OF £250 "In view of tJie fact that tho man alleged to have been assaulted is still in hospital in a critical condition, 1 ask for a remand until to-morrow," said Detective-Sergeant J. Walsh in the Police Court yesterday, when Kenneth Kerev, aged 22, appeared before Mr. W. R. McKcan, S.M., on a charge of assault Mr. Schramm, who appeared for accused, asked for bail. Mr. Walsh suggested that as the man's condition was serious, bail should bo substantial. 1 ho remand was granted and bail was fixed at £250.
