MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED

COLLISION WITH LORRY [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORNE. Thursday An accident on the Nuhaka-Opou-tama Poad this morning resultod in tho death of Mr. Wilfred Black, second son of Mr. and Mrs. James Black, of Nuhaka. Deceased, who was employed by Mr. C. Bartlett, storekeeper at Nuhaka, came into collision with a metal lorry driven by Mr. Morris Torr a, short distance from the township, and received severe injuries. Deceased was riding his motor-cycle to work shortly before 8 o'clock, and it is believed that owing to the rain he had a limited visibility. Ho met the lorry a mile and a-half from Nuhaka township at a point where the road takes a dipping turn. Deceased's parents wero called to the scene and arranged for his conveyance to Wairoa Hospital, but the young man died before reaching Wairoa.
