AVIATION DISPLAY

EVENTS AT MANGERE A spectacular air display is to be Btaged to-morrow nfternoon at tho Mangoro Aerodromo in the presence of tho Governor-General, Lord Galway, Lady Galway, atul members of tho ViceRegal staff. Tho display, which is to commence at 2 p.m., will include a number of thrilling parachuto descents from various heights, a romnrkablo aerial battle, ground strafing, bombing from the air, some clover aerobatics and a spectacular exhibition of crazy and inverted flying. A further attraction will be a heightestimating competition, for which valuable prizes, including a seven-valve nilwave radio set and a return flight from Auckland to Wellington, are to be awarded. During the afternoon flights will be available in four-engined air liners from the fleet of Union Airways, while tho local club's machines also will be carrying out passenger flights. Mr. E. Clark, the New Zealand farmer, who recently completed a flight from England to the Dominion, will he among the pilots taking part in tho disnlny. During the afternoon the GovernorGeneral is to present tho Moffett."Trophy to the successful Auckland model aeroplane builder, Mr. Vernon Gray. This trophy is competed for annunlly in an international contest in the United States, and this is the first time that the prizo has been won outside that country.
