LATE SIR F. LANG

FUNERAL AT WAIKARAKA The funeral took place at Waikaraka cemetery on Saturday afternoon of the late Sir Frederic Lang, former.Speaker of the House of Representatives." It was a private interment, and as a result there was not a large attendance of mourners, although representatives of the Government, and a number of Onehunga organisations,as . well as some of the' late Sir Frederic's old friends were present. The Government was represented by the Hon. W. E. Barnard, Speaker of the House of Representatives. A brief service was conducted at the late Sir Frederic's home at Hillsborough by tlie Rev. T. H. C.. Partridge, who also officiated at the graveside. The. pallbearers were Mr. F. Livingstone, presiV dent of the Onehunga Bowling Club, Mr. D. B. Livingstone, Sir. R., Knowles, secretary to Mr. Barnard, and Mr. L. Hogwood. Other- mourners were Mr. G. J. Garland, Mr. A. A. Coates, deputy-mayor of Onehunga, Mr. W. N. Massey, Mr. F. Mander, a former member of Parliament, and Mr. H. Davis. Among the wreaths received were those from the Mayor and citizens of Onehunga, the Hamilton Club, the Onehunga Orphans' Club, the. Aiick*. land Regatta Committee, the Manukau Motor-boat. Club and the Farmers Trading Company, Limited.
