YIELDS OF COMPANIES Talisman Dubbo (Karangahake).—39 tons of ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £237. Mataki Junction Gold Dredging Company (West Coast). —Four weeks ended February 25, 2390z. ldwt., 15 grains gold for 346 hours and 73,000 yards dredged. REPORTS OF MANAGERS Talisman Dubbo > (Karangahake).—Period ended February 20: Dubbo level—Stoping: ■Ore obtained from 330 ft. north to 400 ft. north averaged good values for width of 24in. The stopes from 640 ft. to 380 ft. north t produced ore of good value for width of 20in. No. 1 level—Stopes: The ore broken on the vein 46ft. south of the main rise assayed very good values for width of Sin. This stope is now worked up to the Dubbo level, above which it is still intact, south of the main rise. No. 2 level—Drive south is now out 080 ft. The country rock is very heavy owing • to the presence of water and requires constant timbering. The reef is loin, wide and the ore saved is of fair value. Stopes: The ore obtained from the stopes extending from 780 ft. to SSOft. south has been of good average value, the average width broken being 22in. No. 4 level—The main level south of the main crosscut to the' east on the Maria lode formerly stoped out by the older company was cleaned out, repaired and timbered a further' distance of 24ft., making a | total distance south of 124 ft. The drive follows the course of the reef, which is incased in good, firm country rock.
