Itinerary of Ballet Now playing at His Majesty's Theatre, Colonel do Basil's Monte Carlo Russian Ballet will conclude its Auckland season on M arch 17. Tho itinerary for tho remainder of the Dominion tour has been nrranged as follows: —Hamilton, March 18; New Plymouth, March 19; Wanganui, March 20; Palmerston North, March 22; Hastings, March 2!1 and 24; Masterton, March 25; Wellington, Easter Saturday, March 27 to April 10; Christchurch, April 12 to April 21; Timaru, April 22; Oaniarti, April 23; Dunedin, April 24 to May 1. Russian Pianist's Tour Tho fifth tour of Australia and New Zealand by the Russian pianist, Benno Moisewitsch has been announced by J. and N. Til it. No information as to tho dates of tho tour have j'et been made available. Gaieties ol 1937 Tho Easter attraction at His Majesty's Theatre will bo Stanley McKay's Gaieties of 1937, a company which is now playing in Wellington after a nine weeks' season in Christchurch. Mr. McKay has several new acts with him on this occasion, notably those of the Plying Martinettes, Joe Lawman, the Hilo Duo, Nellie Sheridan and Stella Lamond, all well known and popular with vaudeville patrons in Australia. The Yodelling Newtons,' a successful turn with the Gaieties two years ago, and Elton Black, Scottish comedian, arc also with the show. Thousand Folk Dancers A thousand English folk dancers from 2,'') counties took part in tho Silver Jubilee Eestival of tho English Folk Dance and Song Society at the Albert Hall, London, on January 9. A team of Rumanian dancers and 6 a French team of dancers on stilts gave displays. Another Ballet Tour "Russian ballot promises to become a regular feature of entertainment in Australia, and Mr. E. J. Tait is already planning for another tour with even greater ballet stars and with other ballets which are new to this country," says a publicity circular issued by J. C. Williamson, Limited, from their Melbourne office. As most J. C. Williamsou companies have included New Zealand in their tours in the past it iS reasonable to assume that any future ballets which visit Australia will come to the Dominion Tho present Monte Carlo Russian ballet will conclude its New Zealand season at Dunedin and will then proceed to Australia, where a season at Brisbane has been arranged. The ballet may also make a short return visit to Sydney before returning to Europe.
