CONTRACT BRIDGE
Forty-two pairs participated in the first round of the match point pairs championship held by the Northern Contract Bridge Club this week. The tournament resulted in wins for the Misses N. and M. MacCormick (North and South), with a percentage of 62.5 and Messrs. N. O. Morgan and N. Watson (East and West), with 04.16. Good percentages were also obtained bv Mrs. Bruce-Smith and Miss L. Hall, 62.5, Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Wylie, 59.28, Mrs. Green and Mrs. Wilson. 57.5, Mrs. Acheson and Miss Swap, 57.26, Mrs. Ncttleton and Mrs. Do Clive Lowe, 56.07, Mrfe. Robinson and Mrs. Tucker, 55.71, and J. A. Cahill and Captain Barnes, 55.23.
