INFECTIOUS DISEASES
RETURNS FOR FEBRUARY A total of 51 cases of infectious diseases was reported in the Auckland e Central health district last month, corne pared with 43 in January. The cases ineluded 21 of pulmonary tuberculosis, nine of baeillarv dysentery, seven of e puerperal fever and six of erysipelas, e There were only six notifications in e the Thames-Tauranga district, against ie seven in February last year and four f in January this year. The cases last a month were two of pulmonary tuber- )- culosis, and one each of scarlet fever, t- diphtheria, bacillary dysentery and enteric fever.
