CLOSING OF SCHOOL
[BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAREI, Thursday The Taurnroa school committee has received advice from the Auckland Education Board of the board's decision to close the Kuarangi school and to convey the children to Taurnroa school as from March 1 next. For some time the number of pupils attending Ituarangi school has been decreasing, and when the school closed for the Christmas holidays only eight children were attending. The addition of these pupils to the Tauraroa school will raise the status of that school so that a second teacher will be necessary.
