NEW KRRIKERI WHARF

GROWTH OF THE DISTRICT NECESSARY IMPROVEMENTS [by telegraph —OWN correspondent] KERIKERI, Friday The necessary men and equipment are being assembled to commence work on the improvements to the Kerikeri wharf. Evidence of the necessity for these improvements has been given over the holiday period, when congestion of gopds in the shed was a constant source of irritation to both the carriers and the public. In recent years Kerikeri has outgrown nearly every pviblic building, and this is reflected in the improvements about to be made at the wharf and in the erection of a new and larger post office, upon which it is anticipated that an early start will be made.
