UP-TO-DATE HANDBOOK In a completely revised edition of The Motor Manual, every phase of the modern motor-car is dealt with. From the basic principles of the functioning of the various components, dealt with in the first chapter, the reader thereafter has an opportunity of reviewing the power unit in detail.
Carburetters and carburetion have been given more space than in previous editions, with the result that useful inforniiition is to Ive found concerning all the popular makes of instrument, including notes on tuning. The electrical side of the car, transmission systems, steering, suspension and frames, brakes and braking, wheels and tyres and jacking systems, bodywork, and accessories and equipment each have their separate chapters, being dealt with in a manner which is at once easy to read and to understand. Those motorists who carry out their own minor adjustments and repairs will find much useful information in the chapter specially devoted to this feature.
There are 210 pages of practical and explanatory matter, written in a clear and concise manner, helped by a largo number of excellent black and white drawings such as form a feature of the technical review pages of the Motor, by the staff of which this manual is written and illustrated.
