A New Cult
A possible new cult in the garden jnav arise from the growing popularity of the sand garden, in which the soil is practically pure sand. Such a garden has many possibilities. Cacti for instance thrive well in this medium for the summer months, and many other 6piny desert plants and succulents would make an interesting feature of the garden. Besides, there are many of our seashore plants which could be profitably added, and the gardener will no doubt be able to think of a great many other ewid-loving plants that would appreciate a medium which is more natural in their ease than ordinary garden soil. It remains to bo seen whether the cult will be as popular as some earlier innovations in specialised gardening.
