ALICE HEGAN RICE
Short stories by Alice Regan Rico and Cole Young Rice alternately, comprise the excellent and vastly entertaining book, "Passionate Follies." Each story is based on a folly or whimsy, and whether it is the foliy of Miss Purvey in buying a French model hat, the folly of McCarty, the cop, in listening to the story of a "down-and-out," or the folly of Jack Banning in his quest for an Atlanta model, the stories all possess a verve and vitality as well as a depth of meaning, which make them delightful reading. The art of short story-writing is difficult to acquire, but it is possessed by the Pice collaborators in full measure. "Passionate Follies," bv Alice Heiran Rice nnd Cole Younif Rice.
