DOMINION TOURNEY MATCHES IN WELLINGTON SPEARMAN WINS SINGLES MING INS RUNNER-UP [nr TELiccnAm —press association] WELLINGTON, Friday In the New Zealand bowling tournament to-dav C. Spearman (Sydenham), won the singles championship. He gave a superb exhibition, boating J. H. Mingins (Ponsonby), 21—16 in the final. This was the first time the title has been won for Canterbury. .Rain in the afternoon caused a stoppage of play when one head of the rinks game between Gray (Kolburn), and Haworth (Canterbury), had been played. If Gray's rink wins it takes the championship. Jn the pairs event six teams remain in with five games unplaced. .Results are as follows: — RINKS CHAMPIONSHIP Seventh Hound. —Gray (Kolburn), 20, v.
