REWARD FOR CAPTURE 10,000 DOLLARS OFFERED (Received January 14. 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 President Boosevelt stated to-day that the murder of the kidnapjied son of Dr. Mattson had shocked the nation, and every means at its command must bo enlisted to capture and punish the perpetrator of the ghastly crime. The Attorney-General, Mr. H. S. Cummings, announced that the Government would give a reward of 10,000 dollars for the capture of the murderer. It has been disclosed that the boy was stabbed in the back and then beaten to death with a bludgeon by a degenerate. One thousand officials of the Law Knforcement Administration are continuing their search day and night. It is undefstood that Federal agents are concentrating on a search for a former inmate of a mental hospital at Washington.
